CEC Leh Sh. Gyal Wangyal Visited Lingshed Constituency

Leh, 9 August : The two day extensive tour of Lingshed constituency by Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC, Leh Gyal P Wangyal along with Executive Councillor for Agriculture Phuntsog Stanzin,  Councillor Lingshed Sonam Dorjey, BDC Lingshed block ended yesterday evening. 

Inaugurates 20  Kwp Solar Power Plant at Dipling 

District level officers headed by ACD Leh & CMO Leh and sub divisional level officers & engineers headed by SDM Khaltsi accompanied CEC during the tour. 

On the first day, CEC inaugurated 20 Kwp Solar Power Plant at Dipling village thus electrifying one of the remotest village of Leh Distt. for the first time.  EC Agriculture Phuntsog Stanzin  & Project Director  LREDA were present on the occasion. Later, CEC visited Skumpata Gongma and Yokma and Lingshed village in the evening. CEC also inspected the newly connected Lingshed to Zanskar road up to Samsher Singh Bridge over Zanskar river. 

On the second day, CEC inspected ongoing construction work of  Dipling road from Lingshed. The 44 km Dipling road is being executed under NABARD. Till date only 8 km fair  weather road is completed and in second phase additional  12 km road will be extended up to Barmi-la towards Dipling which will help a lot in easing transportation facilities to the people of Dipling village. CEC also visited Yulchung and  Nyraks villages and while coming towards Leh crossing Singey –La ( 5000 m)  and Sirsir –La ( 4805 m) en route met with people of Photoksar and Hanupata also.

Some of the major demand of the villages was:

•Early completion of Nimoo-Padum-Darcha   road.

•Completion of Photang at Lingshed by     sanctioning additional funds and other basic   facilities at Photang site to ensure smooth     conduct of Yarchos-Chanmo next year at   Lingshed.

•Early commissioning of power transmission   lines in the area.

•Installation of mobile towers, opening of bank   branch.

•Ambulance service for Lingshed area etc.  
 
At all the visited villages CEC assured to address all the genuine demand and issues on top priority reiterating that Council is committed to give   special attention to far off and remote villages of Leh district and in UT Ladakh there will be no shortage of funds. Assured CEC.
