LG Mathur Interacts With Public Delegations at Sankoo

Kargil Oct 24 : Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Ladakh Radha Krishna Mathur during his visit to Sankoo Sub Division met a number of public delegations at Dak Bungalow Sankoo here today. Listens to peoples’ developmental needs, assures redressal of grievances, demands .

Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, SSP Kargil Dr Vinod Kumar besides other concerned district and sub divisional officers accompanied the LG during the tour.

More than 17 delegations comprising of Councillors, PRI members, religious heads, representative of political and social organizations and individuals met the LG and projected their demands and grievances which mainly included establishment of degree college at Sankoo, deployment of doctors and paramedics at Community Health Center (CHC) Sankoo, construction of Panikhar-Kishtwar and Panikhar-Pahalgam Road, establishment of Sankoo Development Authority, Central Library and Tehsil Office at TSG, establishment of 200 MW hydro project at Parkachik, up gradation of schools, construction of link roads and irrigation canals, installation of mobile towers besides other related demands.

Interacting with the delegations, LG Mathur said that the UT Administration is fully conscious of the developmental needs and problems of the people, especially those living in remote and far flung areas and concrete measures are being taken to address their issues.

LG Mathur stressed on officers accompanying him to be responsive to peoples’ needs and aspirations and stressed on the need for formulation of short and long term policies to extend benefits to the masses in education, health, agriculture, revenue and other sectors.

The LG also underlined the need to organize mobile medical camps in remote and far off villages in the district, especially during the winter season so as to ensure satisfactory provision of health-care facilities to people at their doorsteps.
