CEC Gyalson inspects Solid Waste Management Plant Leh

Leh, Nov 18:-  The Chairman/Chief Executive Counicllor LAHDC, Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson inspected country first solar power run 30 tons per day (TPD) capacity Solid Waste Management Plant of Leh behind Skampari Mountain today afternoon and assessed the progress and efficacy of plant which is being run by 3Rmanagemnet Ptd. from August 2020. As per the agreement, the Solid Waste Management Plant of Leh will be run by implementing agency 3Rmanagemnet Ptd. for the next 18 months and handed over to MC Leh later.
 
Project Director LREDA Dr. Tsewang Thinlas  apprised  CEC that 100 Kwp Solar Power Plant installed by LREDA at the plant site is the main attraction of Leh Solid Management Plant Leh  which is providing clean energy to run all the machines of this plant.
 
At the Plant site, Manager Operations 3Rmanagemnet Ptd. Tsewang Dorjey  and concerned engineers and officers briefed CEC  about the entire process of waste management at the plant and demonstrated the process of waste segregation unit, shredders, mixer, heater, curing, storage, recycle, landfill and packing of waste resources to the CEC. Manager 3Rmanagemnet Ptd said that manure generated from the garbage was already sent for laboratory testing.
 
CEC Gyalson  directed 3Rmanagemnet Ptd  to ensure proper management of manpower by engaging more employees to the existing 16 staff at the plant and stressed on all the officers and engineers to make the Leh plant a Model for Solid Waste Management in India. To add more facilities at the plant site, CEC directed concerned engineers to do the needful with proper planning and said that Hill Council will try to install one Black hole machine at the plant site to burn up the unmanageable garbage in near future.

Xen. Construction Leh Nissar Ahmad, Executive Officer Municipal Committee, Leh Stanzin Rabgais and concerned officers and engineers were present at the site.
